La 3ème Dimension at Faire Festival 2026
From May 28 to 30, 2026, the Faire Festival takes over La Cité — RoseLab in Toulouse. Three days to learn, create, repair and share around making, DIY and the circular economy.
What is the Faire Festival?
The Faire Festival is Toulouse’s major maker gathering — FabLabs, makerspaces, and communities all in one place. The idea: bring together everything related to hands-on and digital fabrication — 3D printing, low-tech, repair, textiles, woodworking, ceramics, solar energy…
Entry is free on Saturday and pay-what-you-wish on the other days.
The programme
- Thursday May 28 & Friday May 29 (9am–9pm) — workshops, conferences, hackathons, round tables, repair cafés, evening events (fashion show, Maker Comedy Club)
- Saturday May 30 (10am–7pm) — free open day for the public, families and associations
Over 50 events are planned on Thursday alone.
Where?
La Cité — RoseLab 55 Avenue Louis Bréguet, 31400 Toulouse 5 min from Montaudran station, served by bus lines L8, L9 and 37
La 3ème Dimension will be there
This is exactly the kind of event that fits the spirit of the project: instruments made in Toulouse, 3D printed, designed to be accessible and understandable. We’ll be there to talk, show our work and connect with other makers.
Three instruments will be on show:
Lumi — the educational astronomical telescope, shown for the first time under its new name. You may have known it as ERT — it’s now Lumi.

Smallest — the compact, fast telescope, already well known to regulars.

Picco — the ultra-compact 114/450 Newtonian weighing 1.5 kg, currently in development.

A special edition for the occasion
For the festival, I created a special BHH (Backpack Holder Hook) in the Faire Festival colors. The hook clips under a table, desk or in a tent to keep your bag off the ground — the perfect companion for a maker festival.
The file is free to download on Printables: Backpack Holder Hook x Faire Festival
Printed in PETG or PCTG, no supports needed, strong enough to hold a laptop bag.
If you’re in Toulouse between May 28–30, this is the place to be.
