La 3ème Dimension at RAAGSO 17

From September 10 to 13, 2026, Raphaël Labro and the La 3ème Dimension workshop will be at RAAGSO 17, the amateur astronomy gathering of southwestern France.

What is RAAGSO?

RAAGSO (Rassemblements de l’Astronomie Amateur dans le Grand Sud-Ouest) brings together amateur astronomers from across southwestern France (and beyond) every year to share their passion under genuinely dark skies, far from big-city light pollution. The program includes talks, workshops, night observing sessions, and booths from astronomy businesses. The gathering earned the AMA09 label back in 2009.

This 17th edition takes place at Camping du Causse, in Ambeyrac (Aveyron), a site fully privatized for the event.

A full program on site

Smallest 3D printing workshop: a demonstration and walkthrough of how the most compact 150/750 Newtonian telescope in the world is made, from printing the parts to final assembly.

Talk: a look back at the design of the Smallest: the technical choices, the constraints of 3D printing applied to optics, and what sets the open-source prototype apart from the commercial version.

Observing: the Smallest will be out for night observing sessions on site, a chance to see the instrument in action rather than just on a display table.

Booth: come discover, try out, and take home La 3ème Dimension instruments and accessories.

When and where?

RAAGSO 17 Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, September 13, 2026 Camping du Causse, Suc de Rulhes, Méjos, 12260 Ambeyrac, France

If you’re anywhere near Aveyron that September weekend, come say hi: clear skies, fellow astronomers, and the smell of hot PETG: quite the combo.
