Good news: La 3ème Dimension is one of the 20 projects selected to pitch at the MAIF / CRESS Occitanie Pitch Night (Grande Soirée Pitch), on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Halle Tropisme in Montpellier.
The MAIF Vitrines Engagées
Organized by French insurer MAIF, with support from CRESS Occitanie (the regional chamber for the social and solidarity economy) and Halle Tropisme, the evening will select the first partners of the Vitrines Engagées (Engaged Storefronts) program in Montpellier.
The call was open to associations, companies, artisans, startups, entrepreneurs, and social and solidarity economy players in Occitanie. After a pre-selection, each shortlisted candidate presents their project on stage.
Winning projects will receive:
- a 3-month visibility space in a MAIF branch;
- dedicated communication support;
- the opportunity to host workshops, talks, or demonstrations;
- access to a network of committed local players.
What I’ll be pitching
I’ll present the workshop and its approach: designing and making simple, portable, and affordable astronomical instruments in Occitanie with 3D printing, like the Smallest and Lumi, the educational build-it-yourself refractor.
A storefront in a branch would be a great opportunity to introduce astronomy to a wide audience, with demonstrations and workshops around the instruments.
