In the wake of the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, which drew more than 5,300 visitors to the Cité de l’espace in Toulouse, French business newspaper L’Opinion published a feature on La 3ème Dimension, the company I founded in 2025 in Verdun-sur-Garonne (Tarn-et-Garonne).

The article covers the three instruments developed so far: Lumi, the self-assembled educational refractor designed to teach optics while observing the Moon and deep-sky objects; Smallest, the ultra-compact, transportable 150/750 Newtonian telescope born from a personal frustration; and Picco, the next Newtonian telescope, even lighter, currently in development.
The piece also captures the philosophy behind every instrument:
“Every part exists for a specific reason. Nothing but what serves observation. If an element doesn’t make the instrument simpler or more capable, it has no place.”
And the goal behind how they’re meant to be handled:
“I design my instruments so they’re understood by picking them up, not by reading a manual.”
